Autumn/Christmas Lush Haul

I used to have a major love affair with Lush, constantly staining the bath with glitter and bright colours and then all of sudden I was done with it. But alas I have been watching far too many lush hauls lately and was inspired to take a trip down there and build up a collection to sit in my bathroom. I mainly picked up bubble bars and bath bombs as they're the ones you want to come home and have a bath and watch youtube videos too. I did however also pick up a couple of other bits that caught my eye, a few bath melts, a hand scrub, bubbleroon and shower gel.

Clockwork from top left: The Experimenter | Lord of Misrule | Yog Nog | Bar Humbug| Candy Mountain | Milky Bath

A couple of these products are from the Christmas range and  Lord of Misrule I believe is from the Halloween range- I've already repurchased this as it makes my bathroom smell really strong even when it was just sat on the side from the spicy blend of patchouli and black pepper scent. I also love the fact it's a vivid green but produces a strong wine colour in the bath.
Candy Mountain is a Christmas staple with its sweet vanilla scent being a firm favourite among many and I have had this before and love the pink girly bubbles you get from the bar.
The Experimenter I picked up mainly due to the colours and the vanilla scent again. I can't wait to use this and see the rainbow of colours that are produced when it is fizzing around the bath to the sounds of popping candy.

Clockwise from top left: Salted Coconut hand scrub | Lord of Misrule Shower Cream | Mmm Melting Marshmallow Moment | Razzle Dazzle|  Rose Jam| You've Been Mangoed

The Luxury Bath Melts caught my eye due to their small size and the amount of oils that will soothe and soften your skin crammed inside. I have never used these before but am excited to linger in the bath and come out silky smooth and rehydrated. I love the smell of You've Been Mangoed it packs a punch and i'm sure will make you feel revitalised with mango and citric notes very apparant.
I also picked up the Lord of Misrule shower cream as I love the scent of the bath bomb and really enjoy the idea of layering scents and being able to use this everyday is a bonus, though I would use a bath bomb everyday if I could afford too!
The Salted Coconut hand scrub I picked up as I've seen on many hauls lately and made me want to pick it up as we all crave to have the softest hands. With coconut and sea salt this scrub naturally softens your hands and I have already noticed a difference after just a few tries. However the only thing I dislike about this product is the scent, I don't know whether I picked up a duff one or whether this is normal but I don't get any coconut from it.. To me it smells like play dough.
I've never used a bubbleroon before but understand them to be similar to the bubble bars but with extra oils and butters to mosturise your skin. This scent is really uplifting with lemon and rose. I think this one is too be used when I am going to spend a long time in the bath to really get the full benefits.

The Magic of Christmas and Cinders

Now this is a side note, I have already been back to Lush after watching yet another video to pick up this combination and oh my! I am so impressed i'm in bath heaven Cinders smells like almond and cinnamon and I love the added popping candy. I have been pairing it with The Magic of Christmas reusable bubble bar and cannot describe my happiness. This is my first reusable bubble bar and I've found that it is so much easier to create the bubbles by waving this around the water rather than having to crumble it in and then beat up the water. Again this is an almond and cinnamon scent but I love the fact that it is on a cinnamon stick and has cloves and star anise inside it as well. I am definitely going to have to go and stock pile these to make sure that this is available to me whenever I want.

halloween lips featuring make up revolution

Top left wearing Make Up Revolution Velvet Rebel | Bottom left wearing Make Up Revolution Velvet Black Heart

So I am on the quest for some understated Halloween makeup to wear out at the weekend and there is no better time to experiment with dark colours than the 31st October. Just going out to the local pub where there are spooky cocktails and scary shots I have to look in the spirit.

I went down to Superdrug to see what I could pick up and came back with way more than necessary. I brought two of the Make Up Revolution Salvation Velvet lip lacquers in Rebel and Black Heart and I am super impressed with these. Rebel is a deep and dark magenta shade and Black Heart is a black purple stand out shade. The formulas of these are right up my street as they go on liquid and dry super matte. They are ultra long lasting and in the end I had to remove it with micellar water as I could no longer prance around the house with a deep purple black lipshade on a Sunday afternoon. They remind of me of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks which I have always loved due to their matte finishes and long lasting wear but at £3 they are a fraction of the price and have plans to go and pick up some more wearable shades.

I also picked up a lip kit from Freedom called 'Vamp Collection' these do what they say on the tin and offer a collection of dark Halloween shades, perfect to switch up your Saturday night. I really like the look of Dusk till Dawn which is a similar shade to Rebel and Vamp Noir which is a red shade but with an element of darkness. This kit was £5 from Superdrug and you are definitely getting lots of product for your money.

I am planning to try to create an ombre lip with the two make up revolution velvets on Halloween, teamed with a simple cat flick, lashes and face lace and after i've had a few spooky cocktails i'm sure I definitely will look more scary than when the night started!

Revlon Autumn Copper Eyes

It suddenly feels like Autumn. I suddenly developed a huge need for a copper eyeshadow to get me through the next few months. As soon as the urge struck I headed down to Boots because obviously, the sooner you get it the better you feel.

I picked up the Revlon ColorStay Shadow Link in Copper for the bargain price of £2.99 and I am very impressed so far. The shadow is easily blendable and nicely pigmented but still able to build up for a deeper shade. The colour is a nice shimmery shade and perfect on it's own across the lid for daytime wear or for a more dramatic evening look amped up with a deeper brown or black shade blended in the crease. They are also super lasting, whenever I wear eyeshadow without a doubt by the end of the day there is barely any colour come 5pm but with this shadow I am guaranteed a long lasting eye with claims for up to 16 hours wear.

I'm going to head back out to my nearest Revlon counter and find some interlinking shades to create my own miniature palette to carry on my quest for perfect Autumn eyes.
Please let me know in the comments what eye shadows you would recommend.
